And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”

The Revelation of Jesus Christ given through John Chapter 21 verse 27

and nothing that defiles or profanes or is unwashed will ever enter it, nor anyone who practices abominations [detestable, morally repugnant things] and lying, but only those [will be admitted] whose names have been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”
REVELATION 21:27 AMP

Abomination Defined:
: something regarded with disgust or hatred : something abominable

: extreme disgust and hatred

From the Holy Bible; What God calls an abomination:

Proverbs 6
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look [the attitude that makes one overestimate oneself and discount others], a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth(creates) wicked imaginations(plans), feet that be swift in running to mischief(evil), A false witness that speaketh lies[even half-truths], and he that soweth discord(spreads rumors) among brethren.

PROVERBS 6:16-19

Frowardness

Proverbs 3
32 For the froward(devious)(inclined or willing disobedience and opposition) is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.
Proverbs 11
20 They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord: but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

Lying

Proverbs 12
22 Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.

Pride
Proverbs 16
5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord: though hand join in hand, he shall not
be unpunished.

False Balance
Proverbs 11
1 A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight.
Proverbs 20
10 Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the Lord.
23 Divers weights are an abomination unto the Lord; and a false balance is not good.

*In the past time there was no Standard form of measuring the weight of something, so people would use Stones/Large rocks to tell the weight of something such as; meat, produce, or anything so by weight. Some people following evil business practices would use one stone to weigh something when buying it and then a different stone to weigh what they are selling.

We can imagine that rarely were two stone the exact same weight and all merchants had their own stones, so people were likely being fooled on a regular basis regarding the weight of something they are buying. The Lord teaches us to use the same stone we use to measure how much something is when we  buy it, should be the same stone we use when selling it.

The key for us today is not to cheat people in business. We must do what is fair and equal.

Colossians 3:23;
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”

The Word of God is amazing and shows how people can exploit the smallest things to deceive people for their own advantage.

Without the Word of God in this world evil deeds such as this would likely abound without limit.

Thank God for teaching is what is right and what is wrong.

His Word is our compass and if we follow it, we will always be right.
