What is an Intentional Community?
“A community designed and planned around a social ideal or collective values and interests, often involving shared resources and responsibilities. A group of people living together for specific purpose or reason.”
A typical Neighborhood is a Community by default. People live in close proximity to each other but do not have a Shared Intention, they just happen to be there. Neighbors may never talk to each other. Neighbors may only see each other when they come in and out of the driveway in their car. It just so happens that neighbors live next to each other. The lack of Common Purpose for being there is something to be overcome. When there is Shared Purpose for why people live in a certain place, then the Community has a solid foundation.
Where there is an agreed upon Common Purpose for why people are living in a place and they are in Collective Pursuit of the Mission, Intentional Community is found.
In our present state of Christianity the majority of people meet for about 2 hours on a sunday coming from other cities/towns, states, and even sometimes countries to come together for a common purpose(worshiping and learning more about God).
In the early church of Church of Christ, it was not so.
Acts 2:37-47
“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
Acts 4:32-37
“And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.”
The people of God are Stronger together and are capable of much more when operating in Unity.
Walking As Christ is planning to unite with other Brothers and Sisters in Christ whom are fully devoted to the Lord and acquire a property that is nearly 200 acres in San Diego County California USA, in or around December 2018 establishing the Community of Christians.

Local presence and Global Community
As we pursue Growth in our walk with Jesus Christ, serving the Lord Daily, and Discipling others we will do so collectively from our Local Community as the Headquarters for the work that we do Globally. Physical location in Southern California with Brothers and Sisters in Christ abroad following Jesus Christ and serving the Lord with us.
Embracing Diversity and Empowering Unity
Followers of Jesus Christ from various backgrounds and denominations living and working together for the greater good of the Body of Christ. The Community of Christians is not to be governed by any denomination or religious institution. The Community will embrace and welcome followers of Jesus Christ from various backgrounds/denominations.
Whether; Southern Baptist, Reformed, Pentecostal, Orthodox, Catholic, Non-Denominational, or any other Christian group that Preaches/Teaches Jesus Christ and Rebukes sin you are welcome here. This is a mission for all of the called of God around the world. The Mission of this Community is Fulfilling the Will of God and Edifying His people across the Globe.
Christ Centered Missions The Community of Christians Intends to Work in Regularly
–Bringing the Word of God to those who desire to know
We are currently doing this through the Walking As Christ ministry and plan to advance all that we do in bringing Truth of Jesus Christ and the Word of God to the Nations abroad and locally!
–Christian Homeschooling
The children living full time in the community will be home schooled there.
We plan to share the homeschooling techniques that we use in the Community with all those that desire to homeschool their children in a Christian way around the world.
–Housing Full Time Missionaries
The Community of Christians will be a Refreshing Station for missionaries around the world.
Missionaries laboring in the name of the Lord from various parts of the world will be able to stay at the Community of Christians for a temporary period in between their missions and be refreshed!
–Relieving the Afflicted
We intend to have an organized and intenful approach to; feed the hungry, provide drink for the thirsty, welcome strangers, clothe those who lack, visit the sick and imprisoned with specific regard to the people of God.
–Clothing Sisters in Modesty
Providing clothing to Sisters in Christ that desire to dress modestly.
This mission called Incorruptible Heart will be launching soon.
–Uniting the People of God
This mission is in its beginning stages today and will be focused on unity among the Body of Christ locally and Globally.
–Any other call of God that He guides the community to fulfill
Typical Day
Morning – Prayer/Worship/Word/Meditative start to morning (breakfast)
Work(Christ centered Mission and/or attending community needs)
Afternoon – Prayer (lunch with possible siesta)
Work(Christ centered Mission and/or attending community needs)
Evening – Prayer/Worship/Word (dinner)
Sabbath(Seventh Day/Saturday) – Day of rest unless any Christ Centered Mission needs attending to (no servile work – as defined by the Word of God/Keep the day Holy).
Saturday Morning Service – Weekly assembly of Brothers and Sisters in Christ to Worship God and learn of Him.
*Brothers & Sisters may exercise liberty regarding schedules based on the Christ Centered/Kingdom Mission and the needs of the community at the time.
**Responsibilities can be regularly rotated.
It is not necessary to be a Full Time Permanent Resident of the community to participate in Community Activity, Worship, and/or Christ Centered Mission that the community is working on. All times the Word of God is shared in a formal setting in the community, the message should be recorded for the Body of Christ that are living outside of the community to listen around the world.

The Community of Christians will use well water on the property for all community related activity. There are currently multiple wells providing more water than needed on the property. We intend to build a solar site on the property to provide enough energy to sustain the entire operation on renewable energy(the property in its current state is connected to the local power grid).
We also intend to grow nearly all of our own Organic Foods using Permaculture Principles sustaining the land for many years to come. There is a large lot on the south end of the property that we intend to use for growing; vegetables, herbs, spices, possibly grains, and raise cattle on. We intend to have fruit trees and vines along the hillside of the property. We are hopeful that the Lord will Bless the land to have it producing the majority of our food within the first 10 years of being on the property.

The property sits at an elevation of about 3,000 feet in a mildly mountainous area.

There is available permanent housing for 10 more families(husband and wife with or without children) and 5 more singles(unmarried/widowed).
Community Inception
The property is currently owned by a Christian organization and is fully functioning today. The property can house around 300 people with its current structures and configuration.
It is located in a rural part of San Diego County California USA on nearly 200 acres with abundant water sources.
We are planning to acquire the property and start moving in as early as December 15, 2018.
We are currently considering up to 10 Holy Spirit filled co-founding families and 5 Holy Spirit filled co-founding singles.
